NAS hosts OSU Material Science and Engineering Students

North American Stainless hosted a two-day Stainless Steel Workshop for Materials Science and Engineering students from Ohio State University on February 13th and 15th. NAS President, Mr. Cristobal Fuentes greeted the students during the first session,  followed throughout the morning with presentations on the subjects of Stainless Steel Manufacturing, Raw Materials, and Stainless Steel applications.  After lunch, the students toured the plant where they saw melting, hot rolling, and cold rolling operations.

The Workshops are part of a Stainless Steel Education program developed at NAS for Universities and Colleges that offers the opportunity for students to learn about stainless steel as well as tour the plant and see firsthand the manufacturing process.
